How to Switch to the “Interactive” Mode
The Interactive mode allows you to preview your assignments exactly as your students will see them once you've finished creating or editing them. This mode also provides several features that can help you better prepare your lesson. Let’s break it down step by step:
Step 1
Open any lesson in My Library. If you're still in the editing phase or just finished creating the lesson, you'll see the tools and input boxes. To preview the lesson as your students will see it, click the Interactive button at the top.
Step 2
At the top of the screen, you'll see three dots. Clicking on them will open a menu with several options:
- Show correct answers: Toggle this option on if you want to view the correct answers for each task.
- View students' results: Check how students are progressing or what they've completed.
- Duplicate: Make a copy if you want to create different versions (e.g., for various levels).
- Export: Export the lesson as a PDF, Google Doc, or Google Form.
- Delete: Remove the lesson if you no longer need it.
Step 3
Scroll down to see toggle options beneath each task:
- Require students to provide an answer: Switch this on if you want students to provide answers for the task.
- Activate Check with AI: Enable this if you want to use AI to assess their answers.
- Activate Check grammar and spelling: Turn this on if you'd like to automatically check for grammar and spelling mistakes in students' responses (only works together with Check with AI).
- Set task points: Below each task, you can set the number of points for that task. The default is 10, but you can adjust this to fit your preferences.
Step 4
By default, you won’t be able to enter answers while in "Interactive" mode. However, if you want to experience the lesson exactly as your students would (and even attempt the tasks yourself), toggle the "View as Student" switch at the top of the screen.
